Process Heat Exchangers

The Shell & Tube heat exchanger is the most common type of heat exchanger in oil refineries and other large chemical processes and is suited for higher-pressure applications. Shell & Tube heat exchangers consists of a shell with a bundle of tubes inside it. One fluid runs through the tubes, and another fluid flows over the tubes (through the shell) to transfer heat between the two fluids. The set of tubes is called a tube bundle, and may be composed of several types of tubes: plain, longitudinally finned, etc.

At Absolute, we engineer, design and manufacture various sizes or exchangers with different process conditions customized to meet Customer requirements.

We use HTRI design software for the thermal design and COMPRESS design software for mechanical design of process heat exchangers.

Absolute Energy Field Products & Services maintains ASME “U” and “S” Certificates of Authorization for Pressure Vessel and Boiler manufacturing as well as National Board “R” Stamp Authorization for repair of code pressure vessels. All manufactured vessels are stamped and registered with the National Board.

Standard Features Include:
  • Vessel sizes and pressure ratings to meet any operating condition
  • Relief valve connection to protect against over-pressure
